Mar. 22, 2021—The Vanderbilt Alumni Association has named Barney S. Graham, PhD’91, as the recipient of the 2021 Vanderbilt University Distinguished Alumnus Award. This honor is the highest bestowed upon a member of the university’s alumni community.
Mar. 15, 2021—Vanderbilt scientists on the front lines of COVID-19 research will share their insights on the pandemic and subsequent vaccine development during a Chancellor’s Lecture Series event on Tuesday, March 23, at 5 p.m. CT, hosted by Chancellor Daniel Diermeier.
Feb. 19, 2021—A new Vanderbilt event series highlighting diverse voices on vital issues, ’Dores in Dialogue, kicked off on Dec. 2, 2020, with a conversation on eliminating racial disparities in public safety and policing. The event was presented by the Vanderbilt Alumni Association and the Association of Vanderbilt Black Alumni.

Jan. 29, 2021—The inaugural Vanderbilt Changemakers event featured a discussion with Owen Graduate School of Management alumni Nat Robinson, MBA’07, JD’18, and Tori Samples, BMus’12, MBA’18, about the company they created to provide virtual banking services to refugees and migrants.
Jan. 26, 2021—The Vanderbilt Association of Hispanic and Latinx Alumni and the Vanderbilt Alumni Association invite the university community to attend the virtual event, "’Dores in Dialogue: A Conversation on the History and Complexities of the Term Latinx," on Friday, Jan. 29, from 11 a.m. to noon CT.
Jan. 20, 2021—Two Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management alumni will discuss the company they created to provide banking services to refugee populations. The event, "Vanderbilt Changemakers: Leaf Global Fintech," will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 27, from 11 a.m. to noon CT.

Nov. 30, 2020—The Vanderbilt Alumni Association will host a virtual event about tech jobs for current Vanderbilt students on Tuesday, Dec. 1, at 6 p.m. CT.
Nov. 29, 2020—Vice Chancellor André Churchwell, Vice Provost William H. Robinson and Senior Associate Vice Chancellor August Washington will discuss Vanderbilt University's role in eliminating racial disparities in public safety in an online event on Wednesday, Dec. 2, from 6 to 7 p.m.
Nov. 3, 2020—Vanderbilt University alumni were offered the unique opportunity this fall to hear two of the country’s foremost political science experts, John Geer and Jon Meacham, discuss the U.S. presidential election in the four-part webinar series, “The 2020 Election: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.”
