Dec. 13, 2018—Vanderbilt employees that enrolled in the Choice Consumer-Driven Health Plan for 2019 must activate their health savings account on Fidelity in order to contribute to, and use funds from, the account.
Oct. 25, 2018—Open Enrollment is open now through 11:59 p.m. Oct. 31. All benefits-eligible faculty and staff are required to make an active plan selection for 2019 coverage.

Oct. 19, 2018—Benefits Open Enrollment is underway now until Oct. 31. This year, all eligible employees must elect a health plan or they will default to the new Choice Consumer-Driven Health Plan.
Oct. 12, 2018—Vanderbilt offers two distinct types of tax-advantaged plans to help pay for health care costs on a pre-tax basis: the new Health Savings Account (HSA) for employees electing the Choice CDHP and the health care Flexible Spending Account (HC-FSA) for employees electing the Select PPO or waiving coverage.
Sep. 26, 2018—For calendar year 2019, Vanderbilt will have two health plan offerings: the Select PPO (Preferred Provider Organization) and the Choice CDHP (Consumer-Driven Health Plan). Eligible employees must elect a health plan.

Aug. 8, 2018—All fully benefits-eligible faculty and staff are required to make an active plan selection during this year's Open Enrollment.
Jun. 22, 2018—On Friday, June 29, benefitexpress will be closing at 1 p.m. (including Customer Care) and will resume normal hours the following business day. In addition, on Wednesday, July 4, the benefitexpress offices will be closed in observance of Independence Day.
May. 30, 2018—In preparation of Open Enrollment for 2019 benefits, Vanderbilt is partnering with GuideSpark to provide short videos, comparison charts and other resources designed to streamline the information you need to help you better understand your benefits options.
