Jan. 15, 2020—On Monday, Jan. 20, from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. Vanderbilt University Information Technology will relocate the sources for Music on Hold. All VU and VUMC users of NEC phones put on hold during the one-hour relocation timeframe will hear silence while holding.
Jan. 8, 2020—Vanderbilt University faculty and staff are required to change their ePassword, the password associated with VUnetID, on an annual basis. If you have not updated your ePassword in the last year, you must do so by midnight on Monday, Jan. 13.
Dec. 16, 2019—As part of continued efforts toward full separation of the university and Medical Center email systems, the legacy vanderbilt.edu email addresses of VUMC users will no longer be forwarded to their new @vumc.org addresses as of Sunday, Dec. 15.
Dec. 13, 2019—Beginning at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 17, and ending at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 18, VUIT will perform maintenance on network systems that support the Skype/Lync environment. During this time, you may experience intermittent trouble placing calls, hosting meetings, sending instant messages, or seeing availability.
Nov. 22, 2019—To maintain security and supportability of the VU wireless networks, VUIT will be working on the networks on Tuesday, Nov. 26, from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be 10-minute WiFi outages in each of the buildings on campus (excluding residence halls) within the maintenance window.
