Feb. 22, 2018—Renowned neurotologist Michael E. Glasscock III, MD, adjunct professor of Otolaryngology, died Feb. 17 in the home he shared with his daughter, Martina Glasscock Barnes, in Asheville, North Carolina. He was 84. The cause of death was kidney disease.
Jan. 22, 2018—William W. Bain Jr., a Vanderbilt alumnus and emeritus member of the Board of Trust who founded Bain and Company, a global corporate consulting firm, died Jan. 16.
Dec. 4, 2017—Perry Wallace, BE’70, the Vanderbilt University student-athlete who integrated Southeastern Conference varsity basketball, died Dec. 1. He was 69.

Jul. 26, 2017—H. Alex Brown, Ph.D., the Bixler-Johnson-Mayes Professor in the Department of Pharmacology at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, died from cancer Tuesday, July 25, at his home. He was 56.
Jun. 29, 2017—William Frances Flanagan, who taught at Vanderbilt University for more than 30 years and was renowned for his research on the causes of stress corrosion cracking in alloys and metals, died June 15 in Maryland. He was 90.
Jun. 28, 2017—Johnny Hall Dunlap, a Vanderbilt University alumnus and professor emeritus of mechanical engineering known for his devotion to students, died June 17 in Nashville. He was 85.
Jun. 27, 2017—Dale Andrews, Cornelius Vanderbilt Chair and Distinguished Professor of Homiletics, Social Justice and Practical Theology at Vanderbilt Divinity School, died June 23 after a battle with cancer.
