Sep. 9, 2016—The Vanderbilt University Fine Arts Gallery presents “Race, Sports and Vanderbilt: 1966–1970,” which will showcase photographs, front pages from "The Tennessean," and related artifacts from this time period, beginning Friday, Sept. 23.
Jun. 1, 2016—“Pastorals, Landscapes and the Arcadian Vision,” on display at the Vanderbilt Fine Arts Gallery from June 10 through Sept. 9, explores how artists for centuries have rendered nature in a tranquil, idyllic form. The exhibition features more than 50 paintings and works on paper from the 17th to 20th centuries.
Apr. 28, 2016—"Out of the Vault: Stories of People and Things," an exhibition curated by Vanderbilt students that explores the dynamic relationships among objects, individuals and communities, is currently on view through Sept. 9 at Vanderbilt University Fine Arts Gallery.
Mar. 3, 2016—The Vanderbilt University Fine Arts Gallery is pleased to announce a recent gift from the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation of two photographs by Shirin Neshat, which are intended to spark cross-cultural dialogue about international issues and religious and political divides and to facilitate collaboration between academic departments at the university and the gallery.
