Vanderbilt University receives best possible review and reaffirmation of institutional accreditation
Dec. 7, 2017—Vanderbilt has earned a 10-year reaffirmation of its accreditation through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges.
Oct. 2, 2017—The Nashville Mini Maker Faire's organizers extended it to two days, attracting double the exhibitors and more than 1,500 additional visitors over last year.
Sep. 18, 2017—Kevin Galloway, hired last year as the university’s director of making, recently was appointed as the Design as an Immersive Vanderbilt Experience (DIVE) director and will play an integral role in upcoming hackathons, makeathons and design courses.
Sep. 7, 2017—The Office of Immersion Resources, to be located in the Student Life Center, will be the central support mechanism for students as they plan immersion experiences with faculty and campus partners.
Mar. 27, 2017—More than 40 students, staff and faculty gathered at the Wond’ry March 25 to learn about human-centered design and put it into practice through a series of exercises. The half-day event was the inaugural DIVE Boot Camp, one of several opportunities for members of the Vanderbilt community to participate in Design as an Immersive Vanderbilt Experience, the university’s Quality Enhancement Plan.
Sep. 1, 2016—Associate Professor of the Practice of Civil and Environmental Engineering Lori A. Troxel will lead the creation and implementation of the Design as an Immersive Vanderbilt Experience (DIVE) program, which has been selected as Vanderbilt University’s Quality Enhancement Plan.
