Vanderbilt’s Bishop Joseph Johnson Black Cultural Center volunteers help literacy, math achievement grow at Ida B. Wells Elementary
What started out as a service project for the Association of Vanderbilt Black Faculty and Staff affinity group quickly turned into a strong community partnership between members of the Vanderbilt community and Ida B. Vanderbilt Wind Symphony and University Orchestra to make season debuts this weekend
The Vanderbilt Wind Symphony, conducted by Thomas Verrier, associate professor of conducting, will open its fall performance season on Friday, Sept. 22, with Symphonic Songs. The Vanderbilt University Orchestra will perform Rhythmic Tapestry on Saturday, Sept. 23, where Ernesto Estigarribia Mussi, assistant professor of conducting, will make his Blair conducting debut. Proposals being accepted for International Education Week 2023; submissions open through Oct. 13
International Education Week is a joint initiative of the U.S. Departments of Education and State, with the goal of celebrating international education. Vanderbilt joins The Precisionists, other employers in creating careers for 500 neurodiverse individuals in Nashville
Vanderbilt University and the Frist Center for Autism and Innovation at Vanderbilt are collaborating with The Precisionists, Inc., a Wilmington, Delaware-based company that assesses, trains and employs neurodiverse adults to carry out project-based consulting work.
