May. 30, 2019—Assistant Professor Cathy Maxwell, Associate Professor Shelagh Mulvaney and Assistant Professor Bethany Rhoten have been named the School of Nursing’s first Valere Potter Distinguished Dean’s Faculty Fellows. May. 24, 2019—The Margaret Cuninggim Women’s Center and the American Studies Program recently partnered to host the OpEd Project, a social venture and leadership organization with a focus on increasing the number of women and underrepresented experts contributing to key commentary forums in their respective fields.

May. 2, 2019—Sheila Ridner, Martha Rivers Ingram Professor and director of the Vanderbilt School of Nursing’s Ph.D. in nursing science program, has been named a 2019 American Cancer Society ResearcHERS Ambassador. In this role, Ridner will advocate for her fellow women researchers and raise funds to support their work.
