Mar. 21, 2018—James “Tristan” Keen, mailroom manager for the nine libraries in the Jean and Alexander Heard Libraries system, is the final recipient of a Chancellor’s Heart and Soul Staff Appreciation Award for the 2017-18 academic year.
Mar. 14, 2018—Chancellor Nicholas S. Zeppos spoke to the University Staff Advisory Council on March 13, saluting the nearly 4,500 staff members for their role in Vanderbilt's upward trajectory.
Nov. 16, 2017—Maxine Ebanks is known among her colleagues for the warmth and care she shows for Vanderbilt students, including hosting an annual Thanksgiving meal in her home for those who can’t leave town for the holiday. Ebanks, a 42-year employee of Campus Dining, was recognized Wednesday by Chancellor Nicholas S. Zeppos for going above and beyond her workplace duties.
Nov. 8, 2017—Carol Wiley, grant manager for the Department of Biological Sciences and a 17-year veteran of the university, is the latest recipient of the Chancellor’s Heart and Soul Staff Appreciation Award.
Nov. 2, 2017—Joey Knight, a journeyman electrician at Vanderbilt for the last seven years, and Jeff Bratton, a power distribution specialist for 30 years, were recognized by Chancellor Nicholas S. Zeppos during Facilities’ town hall meeting Nov. 1 at the Student Life Center.
Sep. 7, 2017—Chancellor Nicholas S. Zeppos paid a surprise visit Sept. 6 to Marty Wright, manager of law enforcement systems in Vanderbilt University Public Safety, to present him with the inaugural Heart and Soul Staff Appreciation Award.
