AAMC lauds Hill’s contributions to health care equity
Nov. 9, 2017—The Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) honored nine individuals and one medical school for their outstanding contributions to academic medicine at an awards presentation Nov. 5 at the AAMC’s Annual Meeting in Boston.
Vice Chancellor George C. Hill to retire July 1
Jun. 29, 2017—George C. Hill will retire from his post as vice chancellor for equity, diversity and inclusion July 1. He will immediately resume his role as professor emeritus in medical education and administration and professor emeritus of pathology, microbiology and immunology.
Latinx graduates honored at Sí Se Pudo ceremony
May. 17, 2017—The Office for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, Latino and Latina Studies and the Vanderbilt Association of Hispanic Students presented Sí Se Pudo 2017, Vanderbilt’s inaugural Latinx graduation ceremony, on May 11 in the Central Library Community Room.

Faculty survey working group seeks input on preliminary findings
Feb. 16, 2017—The Faculty Working Group appointed to analyze and assess the results of a faculty survey conducted last spring has prepared a preliminary report on the survey’s topline findings and will seek faculty input at two town hall meetings this spring.
