Limited submission opportunity: Howard Hughes Medical Institute Inclusive Excellence
The Howard Hughes Medical Institute’s Inclusive Excellence initiative’s third competition (IE3) provides grants that help U.S. colleges and universities build their capacity to effectively engage students from all backgrounds throughout their undergraduate years, especially those students who belong to groups underrepresented in science. IE3 focuses specifically on the natural sciences, defined by HHMI as: astronomy, biology, chemistry, earth and geosciences, and physics, and disciplines that are combinations of these fields, such as biochemistry, geophysics, or microbiology. Owen School Accelerator launches global immersion program based in Guatemala
This December the inaugural Accelerator Global Immersion program will combine classroom instruction from renowned Vanderbilt faculty with hands-on projects led by regional business leaders.
