Aug. 16, 2020—In response to feedback from the campus community about the desire for more commute options and flexibility when parking, the university is piloting a new daily parking option for up to 1,400 faculty, staff, postdocs, and graduate and professional students. Those who are selected for the program will have access to the Terrace Place, Wesley Place and Sony garages and will pay to park only on the days they drive to campus. The daily parking rate for this program will be $3.

Parking registration for undergraduate students is now open
Aug. 16, 2020—VUPS Parking Services opened registration for vehicle permits on Monday, Aug. 10. Students needing a permit may log in online with their VUnetID and password to register their vehicle for the 2020-2021 academic year. Additionally, locations where undergraduate students can park for the 2020-2021 academic year have been modified to provide more flexibility.

Construction on campus parking garages underway
May. 24, 2019—Construction at the Terrace Place Garage, Wesley Place Garage and Sony Garage will occur over the summer months. Employees’ ability to park will not be impacted if they have a current vehicle registration for their respective garage's zone.

Employees to receive paycheck credit after federal parking tax update
Dec. 18, 2018—Active employees who have been paying for campus parking on a post-tax basis during 2018 will receive an adjustment in their final paycheck of December to credit them for parking-related taxes withheld during the year.
25th Avenue parking and traffic closures begin Sept. 24

First sustainable, app-based VandyVans shelter launched
Aug. 27, 2018—Students can now follow their VandyVans route and van in real time at the new shelter located at the Hank Ingram stop near The Martha Rivers Ingram Commons.
Register vehicles by Aug. 31 – physical permits replaced by license plate recognition
Aug. 14, 2018—Online vehicle registration is now open to faculty and staff. Current permits expire on Aug. 31. Physical permits will be replaced by virtual license plate recognition this year. Be sure to register your license plate correctly.
