Mar. 6, 2019—Vanderbilt Child and Family Center will be hosting Emily Harlan from Home Instead Senior Care at the next caregiver support group on Wednesday, March 13 from 12 p.m. -1 p.m. in Light Hall room 431.
Jan. 24, 2019—The caregiver support group hosted by the Vanderbilt Child and Family Center is open to all Vanderbilt faculty, staff, and students caring for a loved one. The support group is a safe space to discuss the stresses, challenges, and rewards of caregiving.
Jan. 23, 2019—Representatives from the Vanderbilt Child and Family Center recently spoke to the University Staff Advisory Council about a new task force and upcoming events.
Jan. 10, 2019—The Vanderbilt Child and Family Center will host the 2019 Summer Camp Fair on Thursday, Feb. 28, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Light Hall North Lobby. The free fair is a great opportunity for families and students to speak to camp representatives about summer camp opportunities.
Jan. 2, 2019—The Vanderbilt Child and Family Center is hosting the Boomers, Elders and More speaker series from January to May 2019. The January event will feature Ali Hulten from TN SHIP, who will discuss Medicare.
Jan. 2, 2019—The Caregiver Support Group will meet on Wednesday, Jan. 9, in Light Hall, Room 431. Guest speaker Karen Mevis from Tennessee Disability Pathfinder will share her expertise and lead a group discussion.
Nov. 26, 2018—December’s Caregiver Support Group meeting will feature guest speaker Keith King, community relations manager at Alive Hospice. King’s talk is titled “Let’s Talk: Communication Techniques for Difficult Conversations.”
