May. 28, 2019—The Vanderbilt Center for Science Outreach will host its second annual summer day camp, Science Exploration Experience for Kids (SEEK), during the month of June. The camp, for rising first through sixth graders, is held at Eakin Elementary School for weeklong sessions exploring themes such as animals, engineering, chemistry and robotics.
Aug. 17, 2018—More than a dozen Cassiopea were given to the School for Science and Math at Vanderbilt by the Tennessee Aquarium.
Nov. 9, 2015—Another participant in the School for Science and Math at Vanderbilt has advanced in the Siemens Competition in Math, Science and Technology.
Oct. 13, 2015—SustainVU, the Vanderbilt Center for Science Outreach and Vanderbilt Student Volunteers for Science are subgrant recipients of a $91,000, two-year EPA grant to Nashville’s Urban Green Lab to deliver hands-on science and sustainability education to Nashville middle- and high-schoolers.

May. 14, 2014—Among those graduating May 10 from the School for Science and Math at Vanderbilt is Hume-Fogg High School valedictorian Chelsea Guo.
Apr. 17, 2014—More than 100 sixth graders from Wright Middle School met the Vanderbilt graduate student pen pals with whom they have been corresponding and were treated to a tour of Vanderbilt University Medical Center facilities on April 16.
