Oct. 25, 2019—Open Enrollment is open now through 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31. All benefits-eligible faculty and staff are required to make an active plan selection for 2020 coverage.
Oct. 24, 2019—To have a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) in 2020, you must elect it during Open Enrollment. FSAs save you money by allowing you to use pretax dollars to pay for qualifying expenses.

Oct. 21, 2019—Benefits Open Enrollment is underway now until 11:59 p.m. Oct. 31. If you need help enrolling or don’t have access to a computer, stop by the Benefits Open House on Wednesday, Oct. 23; attend an upcoming enrollment lab; or visit Human Resources on the 10th floor of the Baker Building from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday–Friday.
Oct. 6, 2019—Vanderbilt will continue to provide a basic life insurance policy at an amount equal to your annual salary (up to a maximum of $500,000). For 2020, you may purchase additional individual coverage up to eight times your base annual earning up to a maximum of $1 million.
Sep. 19, 2019—Monthly health insurance payroll premiums for 2020 benefits are now available. Open Enrollment begins at 8 a.m. Oct. 17 and ends at 11:59 p.m. Oct. 31.
Sep. 11, 2019—During Open Enrollment for 2020 benefits, Vanderbilt offers two distinct types of tax-advantaged plans to help pay for health care costs on a pre-tax basis: the Health Savings Account for employees electing the Choice CDHP, and the health care Flexible Spending Account for employees electing the Select PPO or waiving coverage.
