Finance Fundamentals continues in 2022 offering finance-related education for faculty
The Division of Finance, in partnership with the Office of Faculty Affairs, will offer the faculty educational initiative “Finance Fundamentals” beginning Jan. 19. The series provides opportunities for faculty to learn about and discuss financial and administrative tools and resources useful in navigating policies, processes and procedures that support operations and research at Vanderbilt. The Office of the Provost has announced the second round of grant recipients for the Course Improvement Grant and Educational Advancement Fund that was established in March. Undergraduate students are invited to nominate faculty members for two university awards recognizing excellence in teaching: the Madison Sarratt Prize for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching and the Ellen Gregg Ingalls Award for Excellence in Classroom Teaching. The Office of the Provost established two internal funding programs in April 2021, the Educational Advancement Fund and the Course Improvement Grant, designed to support excellence in the classroom through continued pedagogical advancement and long-term educational transformation.
