MyVU has shifted its schedule for the summer to two days per week. Beginning the week of June 5, the newsletter will publish every Wednesday and Friday; the Monday edition will resume publication in August. During the summer, students receive MyVU on Fridays only.  Read More

College Sports Communicators released its at-large academic all-district team, naming seven student-athletes from the Vanderbilt cross country and track and field programs. To be nominated for academic all-district honors, student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of scheduled competitions, maintain at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA and hold at least sophomore standing academically and athletically. The Vanderbilt University Board of Trust elected five new members on April 20 during its annual spring meeting. Lamar Alexander, BA’62; John Arnold, BA’96; Nina Kohler; Shaiza Rizavi, BS’91; and Jon Winkelried will serve five-year terms beginning July 1. In addition, Peter Marshall, BA’14, and Somto Okoye, BE’19, will begin two-year terms as a Young Alumni Trustee and a Young Alumni Leader, respectively. Read More

Vanderbilt won the 2023 SEC Tournament championship with a 10-4 victory over Texas A&M. The Commodores are tournament champs for the fourth time in program history, third under head coach Tim Corbin. Read More

Brown, a former three-time All-SEC student-athlete who was part of Vanderbilt’s most successful men’s tennis team, is returning to the Commodores as head coach for the program. He will replace Ian Duvenhage, who has led the team for 18 seasons and will depart as the all-time winningest coach in the program’s history.
