In 2022, as Vanderbilt’s 150th anniversary approached, recent graduates Allen Zeng, BA’23, and Richard Zhang, BA’23, set out to capture the essence of the university by photographing its community members. Collaborating with Professor of Art Vesna Pavlović and librarian Yvonne Boyer, the two developed the “Vanderbilt Self-Portrait” project, supported by a Sesquicentennial Grant from the chancellor’s office and a Buchanan Library Fellowship. College Sports Communicators released its at-large academic all-district team, naming seven student-athletes from the Vanderbilt cross country and track and field programs. To be nominated for academic all-district honors, student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of scheduled competitions, maintain at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA and hold at least sophomore standing academically and athletically. The Vanderbilt University Board of Trust elected five new members on April 20 during its annual spring meeting. Lamar Alexander, BA’62; John Arnold, BA’96; Nina Kohler; Shaiza Rizavi, BS’91; and Jon Winkelried will serve five-year terms beginning July 1.
