May. 30, 2019—Vanderbilt may nominate up to three tenure-track faculty per department for the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation's Sloan Research Fellowships. The goal of the fellowships is to stimulate fundamental research by early-career scientists and scholars of outstanding promise. These two-year fellowships are awarded yearly to 126 researchers in recognition of distinguished performance and a unique potential to make substantial contributions to their field. The 2020 Sloan Research Fellows will receive fellowships in the amount of $75,000.
May. 30, 2019—Vanderbilt University may submit one nomination to The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation’s New Directions Fellowships. New Directions Fellowships assist faculty members in the humanities and humanistic social sciences who seek to acquire systematic training outside their own areas of special interest.
May. 28, 2019—Vanderbilt University may submit one application for The Arthur Vining Davis Foundations Grants. Vanderbilt is eligible to apply for one the following programs: Interfaith Leadership and Religious Literacy, or Public Educational Media. Grants range from $25,000 to $400,000.
May. 23, 2019—To encourage a commitment to breast cancer research, the BCA invites clinical doctors and research scientists whose primary focus is breast cancer research, and who are in the early stages of their career, to apply for funding for the Young Investigator Grant.
May. 13, 2019—The ETH (Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich) Materials Research Prize for Young Investigators recognizes outstanding contributions of young investigators that advance materials, from fundamental to applied research.
