David Williams Fall Classic exhibition baseball game is Nov. 10, will honor history of Negro Baseball League

Oct. 25, 2019—The Vanderbilt and Michigan baseball teams will play each other in a Nov. 10 exhibition game named in honor of former Vice Chancellor for Athletics and University Affairs and Athletics Director David Williams II. Admission to the David Williams Fall Classic, scheduled to begin at noon at Hawkins Field, will be free.

Aug. 29, 2019—The VU community is invited to take photos with Vanderbilt's national baseball championship trophy on Thursday, Sept. 5, from noon to 1 p.m. The trophy will be displayed in front of the newly designed entryway between Sarratt Student Center and Rand Hall that features a Commodore Baseball backdrop.

Jun. 25, 2019—Freshman pitcher Kumar Rocker struck out 11 and drew only three hits in six and one-third innings, and Vanderbilt got to Michigan's shaky bullpen, in a 4-1 win in Game 2 of the College World Series finals on Tuesday night. The Commodores forced a winner-take-all Game 3 set to begin at 6 p.m. Wednesday at TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha.

Jun. 24, 2019—With the Vanderbilt baseball team advancing to the College World Series finals, Vanderbilt Athletics is hosting watch parties at Hawkins Field for each championship game.
