Five Commodores selected in first day of MLB draft
Five Commodore baseball players were drafted on the first day of the Major League Baseball Draft highlighted by Jeremy Sowers #6 overall pick by the Cleveland Indians. Vanderbilt heads to NCAA Super Regional following 7-3 victory over Virginia
Aaron Garza knocked in three runs and Commodores starter Matt Buschmann allowed only five hits and no earned runs as Vanderbilt defeated host Virginia, 7-3, Sunday at Davenport Field in front of a partisan sellout crowd of 2,530. The family of Tabitha Tuders will dedicate scholarships in Tabitha's name to the Kennedy Center Reading Clinic Tuesday, June 1, at 3 p.m. at the Vanderbilt Kennedy Family Outreach Center. Tabitha, 13, was abducted in April 2003 outside her Nashville home. Friends of the Tuders family established the scholarship fund in March 2004 in honor of Tabitha and her love of reading. Christie to step down as Owen School dean
