Natchez Trace to close for stadium improvement work
A crane will be staged along Natchez Trace in Vanderbilt’s Athletics Neighborhood to install new signs at the football stadium. On Thursday, Aug. 25, and Monday, Aug. 29, one lane of Natchez Trace will be closed for the duration of the project, and a second lane will be closed during the crane lifts. Read MoreAug 24, 2022

Global pioneer in nuclear waste remediation and environmental sustainability dies
International nuclear waste management pioneer and member of the U.S. National Academy of Engineering Frank L. Parker, 96, died Aug. 10 in Nashville. Parker was named Distinguished Professor of Environmental and Water Resources Engineering, Emeritus, and professor of civil and environmental engineering, emeritus, in 2011 after a 43-year career at Vanderbilt.
