Celebrate Giving Day with these
on-campus events
 
From noon to 4 p.m., celebrate Vanderbilt Giving Day 2022 at Give on the Green, happening on Library Lawn. There will be giveaways, King of Pops, lawn games, a lounge area and a performance by DJ Drums. Plus, take part in the Giving Day mosaic portrait, which will be a part of the Vanderbilt campus for years to come.

Vanderbilt adds volleyball as a varsity sport
 
Vanderbilt University has announced the addition of women’s volleyball as the university’s 17th varsity sport. Enabled by the transformational Vandy United campaign, the sport will begin competition in the 2025–26 academic year.

Neurodiversity Inspired Science and Engineering graduate trainee program now accepting applications
 
Applications are open through June 15 for the Neurodiversity Inspired Science and Engineering graduate trainee program. The NISE program engages students across STEM disciplines in the development, deployment and commercialization of future of work at the human technology frontier (FW-HTF) approaches and devices that support neurodiverse individuals, and/or that are inspired by their abilities.

The Vanderbilt Project on Unity and American Democracy will host “Democratic Erosion and How to Prevent It,” an online panel discussion, April 28 at noon. Vanderbilt political scientist Josh Clinton and professor Susan Stokes of the University of Chicago will explore the tactics and conditions to which democracies are most vulnerable during a conversation moderated by Noam Lupu, political scientist and associate director of the Vanderbilt Latin American Public Opinion Project.
