The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has released new guidance on COVID-19 booster eligibility, making certain immunocompromised individuals and people over the age of 50 who received an initial booster dose at least four months ago eligible for another booster to increase their protection against severe disease.
The expanded eligibility also includes those who received Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen COVID-19 vaccine for their first shot and booster.
Vanderbilt students who are eligible can currently receive boosters through the Student Health Center.
Faculty, staff and postdocs who are eligible can receive boosters through the Occupational Health Clinic.
