Vandy Cooks: ‘Homemade Pizzas Made Easy’ Feb. 23

Join Stacey Kendrick, a health educator, freelance health and fitness writer and healthy cooking instructor, as she shares her passion for making healthy eating delicious at the next installment of Vandy Cooks. The event will be on Thursday, Feb. 23, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the David Williams II Recreation and Wellness Center demonstration kitchen.

This Vandy Cooks is all about healthy pizza. Who doesn’t love pizza? But did you know that pizza from your favorite delivery spot can have as much as 450 calories, 9 grams of saturated fat and 900 milligrams of sodium in a single slice? The Feb. 23 demonstration will show how fun and easy it is to make homemade pizza that is healthy and delicious. It will also offer tips on choosing toppings wisely, and how to make your own dough in a snap.
