Join Peabody College professor Ilana Horn and co-author Brette Garner of the University of Denver for an online conversation about their new book, Teacher Learning of Ambitious and Equitable Mathematics Instruction: A Sociocultural Approach, on Thursday, Sept. 22.
The event will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. CT. Attendees are encouraged to register in advance.
The 90-minute conversation also will include the University of Colorado’s Susan Jurow and MIT’s Justin Reich for a rich discussion about the authors’ study of experienced teachers’ learning and the implications for sociocultural theory and teacher education.
Differing perspectives between authors and guests will ensure a lively exploration of the book’s themes and applications.
The event is open to all.
