The Vanderbilt Recreation and Wellness Center and Health Plus present “From the Training Table to Gatherings with Family and Friends” on Thursday, March 26. The Vandy Cooks event will be from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the VRWC demonstration kitchen.
Vanderbilt dietetic interns and dietitians will prepare recipes by Vanderbilt Campus Dining sous chef Brian Hancock, who oversees the Department of Athletics’ Training Table. The Training Table feed hundreds of Vanderbilt student-athletes each day. The dietitians will prepare healthy and creative dishes perfect for sharing with friends and family at picnics, tailgates and other game-day gatherings. (Due to unforeseen circumstances, Hancock will not be available for the event.)
Vandy Cooks demonstrations are offered monthly to celebrate healthy eating at Vanderbilt. The VRWC demonstration kitchen is located on the first floor of the Vanderbilt Recreation and Wellness Center.
