Nineteen Vanderbilt Ph.D. students and postdoctoral scholars traveled to Washington, D.C., earlier this month to attend the fifth in-person Federal STEM Policy and Advocacy seminar. Graduate student Steenwyk receives prestigious 2022 Harold M. Weintraub Award
Jacob Steenwyk, a sixth-year doctoral student studying biology in The Rokas Lab, is a recipient of the 2022 Harold M. Weintraub Graduate Student Award presented by the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. He is the second Vanderbilt student ever to receive this honor. Read MoreMar 22, 2022

Vanderbilt to participate in SEC Emerging Scholars Program
Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs C. Cybele Raver has joined her peers at institutions within the Southeastern Conference to establish the SEC Emerging Scholars Program for doctoral and postdoctoral students. The program serves as a pathway and source of mentorship for historically underrepresented graduate students across the SEC to prepare for tenured faculty positions in higher education.
