Vanderbilt Student Affairs has appointed new leaders. ReChard Peel is now director of the Bishop Joseph Johnson Black Cultural Center, and Hannah Jones will lead the K.C. Potter Center. Both will work to advance Student Affairs mission to enhance students’ feelings of belonging on campus, oversee culturally relevant and timely programming for the campus community and continue to position the centers as intentional and innovative places at Vanderbilt.  Read More

Recent graduates of Vanderbilt University reported positive experiences during their undergraduate years on campus, according to newly released survey results from the Office of Undergraduate Education, Student Affairs and the Office of Data and Strategic Analytics. Current seniors are invited to share their perspectives by taking the approximately 15-minute survey, which is now open through May 20, 11:59 p.m. Email invitations to complete the survey have been sent directly to eligible participants. Jeremi London has been named assistant provost of academic opportunity and belonging in the Office of Undergraduate Education, Vice Provost Tiffiny Tung announced today. London also joins the Vanderbilt University School of Engineering as associate professor of the practice in mechanical engineering. Her first day was Jan. 29. Read More

A grant awarded to Vanderbilt University by Interfaith America, a Chicago-based nonprofit dedicated to building bridges among religions, has resulted in training opportunities for nursing students to help them better serve patients of diverse faith traditions. Read More

Student Care Network offices, campus partners and student organizations will be in attendance Oct. 26 from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. to share information about services, engage students in activities and hand out swag. VRS is set to host a sober tailgate and football watch party on Oct. 14. The program also connects students who are in recovery from addiction with resources such as individual coaching, social events, campus-wide prevention programming, and fentanyl testing strip and NARCAN distribution. Read More
