Athletics events may bring high volume of traffic to campus
The Vanderbilt Commodores are scheduled to take on the University of Kentucky on Tuesday, Feb. 6, at 7:30 p.m. and Texas A&M on Tuesday, Feb. 13, at 6 p.m. at Memorial Gym. On Feb. 6 there is also a special event at Langford Auditorium. These events are expected to cause higher volume of traffic in the area and the 25th Avenue Garage. Vehicle, pedestrian routes updated near Highland Quad, Frist Athletics Village
Beginning Monday, Jan. 22, Children’s Way between 24th Avenue and Natchez Trace will reopen to vehicle traffic. The 25th Avenue Garage will be open, but university-affiliated parkers should enter the garage from Highland Avenue, and medical center-affiliated parkers should enter the garage from 24th Avenue. Fencing at Garland construction site to move temporarily
The fencing surrounding the Garland Hall construction site will be temporarily expanded in order to conduct underground utility work for approximately two weeks. All current accessible sidewalks around Garland Hall will remain open. One ADA parking space located between the Divinity School and Garland Hall will be affected for the duration of this work. After-hours concrete pour to occur at Highland Plant construction site Sept. 9

Part of 25th Avenue to close to vehicles, provide alternative pedestrian pathways
Beginning Monday, July 17, 25th Avenue from Blakemore Avenue to Jess Neely Drive will close to vehicle traffic. The intersection at 25th Avenue and Jess Neely Drive will remain open. Access road installation from Stevenson Center Lane to Garland Hall changes pedestrian routes beginning June 26
Garland Hall will be undergoing construction to improve the building's interior and enhance accessibility. To prepare for this project, an access road will be installed in three phases to minimize the impact to pedestrian traffic. Parking spaces in front of the Peabody Administration Building will be closed off 6 a.m.–2 p.m. for six Mondays, beginning May 22, for a crane that will assist crews in roof work. Medical Center Drive to be closed May 20
Incoming traffic from 21st Avenue onto Medical Center Drive will be affected Saturday, May 20, 6 a.m.–5 p.m. by a crane installation. Medical Center Drive will be closed in both directions, and only emergency vehicles will be allowed access for the duration of the project.
