Children’s Way between Natchez Trace and 25th Avenue South will be closed from Sept. 9 to 18. The north sidewalk will also be closed to pedestrians, but the south sidewalk will remain fully accessible along Children’s Way.   Read More

Nashville Electric Service will be working along 24th Avenue and a section of Children’s Way to install utility poles Feb. 17–20 and Feb. 24–25. Traffic and parking will be affected. Read More

On Saturday, Sept. 9, construction hours at the Highland Plant site at the corner of Children's Way and 25th Avenue South will be extended to midnight to complete a concrete pour. Disruptive noise will occur from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., and workers will be on site until midnight. Read More

The outer southbound lane of traffic between Pierce Avenue and Children’s Way will be closed for the duration of this project; two-way traffic will still be ongoing. Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to avoid the area and find alternative routes. Read More

The training exercises are designed to assess response readiness to a critical incident in a dense urban environment. University and medical center employees and guests should expect to see a large number of uniformed military personnel and Metro Nashville first responders in the area of 25th Avenue and Children’s Way during the two-day exercise. The sidewalk on the south side of the Recreation and Wellness Center will be affected on March 22 from 7 a.m. to noon for crane work occurring on the roof of the building. Although exits from the building will not be obstructed, students, faculty and staff are encouraged to avoid the area. Read More

Children’s Way and Lot 104 will be closed from Monday, March 13, to Friday, April 28, for Vanderbilt University’s Central Utilities Initiative project. Two-way traffic on Children’s Way will be closed from 24th Avenue to 25th Avenue and will include the portion of the road in front of Blair School of Music and West Garage. Read More
