Vanderbilt’s Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program is seeking Friendship Families for the 2024–25 academic year. The Humphrey Fellowship Program at Vanderbilt brings accomplished mid–career educational leaders from developing nations and emerging democracies to the United States for an academic year for leadership and professional development as well as fostering mutual exchange. Humphrey Fellows for 2024-2025 are from the following countries and regions: Algeria, Botswana, Cabo Verde, Egypt, Iran, Mongolia, Pakistan, Philippines and South Africa.

Friendship Families are an integral part of the fellows’ experience in the United States. They act as friends and extended family networks to the fellows during their stay in Nashville. The main mission of Friendship Families is to assist the international fellows in adjusting to life in the United States and Nashville and provide an opportunity for cultural exchange among the Friendship Families, the community and the fellows.

If you are available once or twice a month to get together and once a week to check in by text or call, please fill out the interest form here. For questions, email Andalyn Borden at andalyn.h.borden@vanderbilt.edu.
