Join HR Employee Learning and Engagement on Thursday, March 2, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. for “Say Yes to Leadership.”
Have you ever experienced leadership hesitance? It’s the hesitation that employees feel when deciding to step into a leadership role. Maybe you’ve felt this during your time at VU? Perhaps there is a promotion, another role, or even a committee or organization that you’d like to lead on campus, but something is holding you back from taking it on. If you’re a supervisor or manager, one of your roles as a positional leader is to develop and influence your team members to become leaders. This session will help explore the causes of this all-too-common feeling, ways to mitigate its impact on your career, and ways for supervisors and managers to build an environment that encourages leadership.
