U.S. News & World Report released its 2023 Best Graduate Schools rankings on March 29, and Vanderbilt Peabody College of education and human development again achieved a top five ranking among graduate schools of education. The college retained its fifth-place position (this year tied with the University of Wisconsin-Madison).
The publication’s specialty rankings highlighted the regard held for many of its programs by peer institutions. Peabody’s program in Special Education was again ranked No. 1, as was the college’s program in Educational Administration.
Other specialties improved their positions from previous rankings. Education Policy was ranked second, Education Psychology ranked third, and Elementary Education was fourth. Higher Education Administration moved up two spots to eighth.
Curriculum and Instruction retained its fifth-place position, and Secondary Education remained at eighth.
“I take these latest rankings as confirmation that Peabody College continues to get stronger and stronger, and that we are being recognized accordingly,” Camilla P. Benbow, Patricia and Rodes Hart Dean of Education and Human Development, said.
