Vanderbilt University has been recognized by Forbes magazine on its 2021 list of Best Employers in Tennessee.
Forbes partnered with market research company Statista to compile its annual list of America’s Best Employers By State. Data for the lists in all 50 states and Washington, D.C., was gathered by surveying 80,000 Americans working for businesses with at least 500 employees.
The respondents were asked to rate their employers on a variety of criteria, including safety of work environment, competitiveness of compensation, opportunities for advancement and openness to telecommuting. The anonymous surveys were conducted between October 2020 and June 2021.
Vanderbilt was ranked No. 27 among employers in Tennessee.
