This is the second in a series of communications to advise departmental research administrators about upcoming deadlines for the soft launch of the new Vanderbilt Electronic Research Administration (VERA) system.
As previously announced, SPA will not accept requests for new contracts or amendments to existing contracts in PEER after 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 23. This is a one-week hold on contract and amendment requests in PEER to allow for data conversion from PEER to VERA. Requests for new contracts or amendments to existing contracts will not be available again until Friday, Oct. 1, when agreements are available in VERA.
As a reminder, all active agreements in PEER will be converted to VERA and amendment requests can be made in VERA to these agreements on and after Friday, Oct. 1.
Here are some tips for planning for this deadline:
- If you receive a new agreement prior to Sept. 23, please submit your contract request in PEER immediately.
- If you need to amend an existing agreement prior to Sept. 23, please submit your contract request in PEER immediately.
