Human Resources announces well-being initiatives

HR pillars of wellbeing

Vanderbilt University Human Resources is excited to announce new well-being initiatives for 2021. These will include campus and community resources to enhance faculty and staff members’ well-being.

Well-being can be defined as a person living a rich, full life. It is multidimensional. In order to achieve well-being, employees must have a balance of several key elements: emotional, career, social, financial and physical. The new well-being initiatives will include:

  • a well-being resource guide where employees can find campus and community resources
  • a quarterly well-being newsletter with information covering all parts of well-being
  • guides and support for forming and maintaining affinity groups

Campus and community resource guide

Employees can find a list of well-being resource groups (both campus and community) located here.

Quarterly well-being newsletter

A quarterly well-being newsletter will be available in January 2021. This newsletter will cover all the dimensions of well-being. Look for advice articles, recipes and mindful break ideas. If you would like to receive this newsletter, contact wellbeing@vanderbilt.edu.

Affinity groups

HR and EDI are committed to helping campus affinity groups come together. If you’d like to receive more information about partnering with HR to start an affinity group, please email wellbeing@vanderbilt.edu.

Look for more information on each of these items coming later in November and in December.
