If you or someone you know needs help coping with stress or symptoms of depression or anxiety, there are many resources available:
- National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, 1-800-273-TALK (8255). This 24/7 crisis line offers support and guidance for those experiencing emotional distress. Other resources for finding help for yourself or others are also available through the website.
- Crisis Text Line, text HOME to 741741. This 24/7 line offers free support at your fingertips. The website also offers advice on understanding symptoms and how to cope.
- National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), 1-800-950-NAMI (6264). The NAMI HelpLine offers support and referrals for those with mental health concerns. The website offers helpful resources for recognizing symptoms and warning signs and understanding treatment options.
- It may also be helpful to reach out to your primary care provider or health insurance company to find referrals for mental health treatment. Many providers are offering online services during the COVID-19 pandemic.
