Vanderbilt University’s annual Service Award Ceremony, which recognizes employees who celebrated significant service milestones in 2018, is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 20, at 3 p.m. in the Student Life Center Ballroom. Red carpet arrivals will begin at 2:45 p.m. All Vanderbilt University employees are invited to attend.
The recipients of this year’s Commodore Award—given annually to staff members who have made significant contributions to VU’s pursuit of excellence in education, research and community service—also will be announced at the event. The Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Distinguished Leadership Award will be presented to a full-time regular staff member who has demonstrated exemplary contributions to Vanderbilt University’s mission as well as exhibited outstanding commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.
Chancellor Nicholas S. Zeppos will host the event, and Vice Chancellor for Information Technology John Lutz will serve as master of ceremonies.
