SkyVU will transform Vanderbilt’s administrative processes and the underlying technology across financial, administrative and research support organizations.

Once SkyVU goes live July 1, 2017, this infrastructure transformation will:

  • improve the quality and accuracy of data to inform smart decisions about where and how to invest resources;
  • provide new opportunities for staff to contribute to the university’s success;
  • modernize processes and systems to allow faculty and staff to focus more of their time and energy on the core mission outlined in the Academic Strategic Plan; and
  • mitigate risks from the separation of the Medical Center and avoid new risks to the university.

The SkyVU executive steering committee includes Vice Chancellors Eric Kopstain, John Lutz and Brett Sweet; Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Susan R. Wente; Associate Vice Chancellor and Chief Human Resources Officer Barb Carroll; and Associate Vice Chancellor for Internal Audit and Institutional Risk Management Dennis Johnson.
