There are prosthetics for people, but what do pet owners do when their animal needs help walking?

Vanderbilt researchers, led by Karl Zelik, assistant professor of mechanical engineering, came to the aid of Bogey. The pup was disabled by broken bones in his front legs, which had never repaired. The research team developed braces to help Bogey walk normally again. They are making their cost-efficient design freely available for other owners of disabled pets.
