Betsy Hurd Bourner, BS’42, and Christine Slayden Tibbott, BS’42, MA’44, first met at Peabody as undergraduates and have remained friends ever since. Chris (left) is a retired scenic artist and teacher in Nashville. Betsy (right) lives in Huntsville, Alabama. In a recent visit to campus, they reminisced about art classes with their most demanding professor, George S. Dutch, who served as the chairman of the art department at Peabody for many years.
