Writing workshops for health practitioners, those touched by cancer available

Two writing workshops are scheduled to begin in October. Both are collaborations of the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center, the Vanderbilt Oncology Expressive Arts Committee and the Curb Center for Art, Enterprise and Public Policy at Vanderbilt.

The Express Yourself: Creative Writing Series is scheduled for 
Tuesdays from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 14, 21, and 28, and Nov. 4, 11 and 18. A light dinner will be provided.

This program is for anyone impacted by cancer who is interested in learning and exploring expressive writing. The program is free, regardless of where cancer care is received, and no experience is required. Attendance to all workshops is highly encouraged.

The Health Practitioners Creative Writing Workshop
 is scheduled for Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 22 and 29, Nov. 5, 12 and 19, and Dec. 3. A light dinner will be provided.

This program is for health care providers working in cancer and/or impacted by cancer who are interested in learning and exploring expressive writing. The program is free, regardless of where employed, and no experience is required. Attendance to all workshops is highly encouraged.
