Reminder: University Central transitions to flexPTO July 1

On July 1, University Central’s flexPTO program will be in place. As a reminder, you can use this time for planned time off, including vacations and holidays, and for unanticipated absences such as personal or family illnesses.

You will use the method you do today to record your time off, but designate flexPTO instead of vacation, holiday or personal time. For those with grandfathered sick time, you may select that when you use the time for illnesses as you have in the past.  You can find detailed instructions on the Kronos, e-Timesheet, and Exempt Time Off (ETO) help pages after July 1.

While flexPTO takes effect in July, you will record “holiday” one last time for July 4 if you do not work that day. The first holiday University Central employees will record as flexPTO is Labor Day.

To learn more about the flexPTO program and get answers to common questions, visit the University Central flexPTO webpage. You will need your VUnetID and password to access it.
