During National Heart Month in February and National Nutrition Month in March, Health Plus reminds you to love your heart by participating in a variety of fun and informative programs designed to lower your risk for heart disease.
- Know Your Numbers – Keep your blood pressure and weight in check by visiting a Know Your Numbers station.
- Wear Red Day Lunch and Learn Feb. 3 – A discussion of the latest research on heart disease with Vanderbilt Heart cardiologist Mark Glazer. Wear red and get a heart-healthy recipe packet. A heart-healthy lunch will be offered on a first-come, first served basis. Noon-12:55 p.m., Light Hall, Room 214.
- Love Your Heart Expo Feb. 8 – Visit this lunchtime event to receive a cholesterol and glucose screening compliments of Vanderbilt Heart and the Vanderbilt Stroke Clinic*, and have an opportunity to get one-on-one counseling from a Vanderbilt cardiologist and a registered dietitian, a flu shot, win prizes and more. 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m., Light Hall, North Lobby.
