Dyer Observatory to host ’Opera on the Mountain’ May 15
Nashville Opera and Vanderbilt Dyer Observatory are joining forces to present a unique evening of operatic music and star-gazing on Saturday, May 15. The concert will begin at 7 p.m. but doors will open at 6. The concert will take place in the observatory’s patio tent and guests are encouraged to bring a picnic basket and beverages. Chancellor Zeppos and Kite Runner author to send off Vanderbilt graduates
Tradition and technology will each be a part of Vanderbilt University’s annual Commencement Week activities, which run May 12-14 with the main Commencement ceremony on Friday, May 14. Chancellor Nicholas S. Zeppos will deliver the traditional Commencement address in a ceremony beginning 9 a.m. on Alumni Lawn. Special paid leave granted to flood victims in Vanderbilt community
As part of Vanderbilt University’s broad efforts to assist in Middle Tennessee’s flood recovery, up to two weeks paid leave is being granted to faculty, staff and trainees whose personal residences were destroyed or otherwise rendered uninhabitable on May 1-2.
