MEDIA ADVISORY: Vanderbilt University employees offering free items to the community at flood relief giveaway Friday, May 7

Many in the Nashville community have been adversely affected by the flood and are in need of resource items immediately. To help, Vanderbilt University will be hosting a flood relief giveaway of items donated by its employees on Friday, May 7.

If you are in need of clothes, blankets, food, and more during this trying time, please join us and take whatever you need for free. Items were donated by Vanderbilt employees and may include gently used, clean adult and child clothing; linens (including sheets, towels, blankets, and sleeping bags); toiletries; canned/boxed food goods, bottled water; small toys; and cleaning supplies.

All items are first-come, first-served. Any items not collected on Friday, May 7, will be donated to local charitable organizations.

WHAT: Flood Relief Giveaway

WHERE: Student Life Center – Ballroom C, 310 25th Ave. S.

WHEN: Friday, May 7, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Parking: Loading of items will take place in the Student Life Center turnaround. Metered spaces will be available for short-term parking for participants only on Garland Avenue.
