Free orientation sessions for Vanderbilt Weight Workshop

The Vanderbilt Dayani Center for Health and Wellness, in conjunction with Health Plus, offers a holistic approach for adults to promote healthy nutrition, motivation, physical activity, empowerment and well-being.

The next program will be offered on Tuesdays at noon. Free orientation sessions will be held Aug. 6 and 13, with the 18-week workshop scheduled to start Aug. 20.

The program includes:

  • Weekly interactive class sessions
  • Individualized workout programs with a personal trainer
  • Five months’ use of the Dayani Center’s exercise facility, walking track and indoor pool
  • Access to exercise classes, such as yoga, Tai Chi, Zumba, body sculpt, dance, Pilates, group cycling and water aerobics

Workshop instructors are Colin Armstrong, clinical health psychologist and certified health and wellness coach; Angel Bachuss, certified personal trainer; and Jennifer Moore, registered dietitian.

Regularly $695, the program fee for Vanderbilt faculty and staff and their immediate family members is $545.

In addition to the discount, full-time Vanderbilt faculty and staff who complete the program may qualify for reimbursement of up to $142.50 of their fee, courtesy of Health Plus.

Payroll deduction over 12 months ($45.41 per month) is available to Vanderbilt employees.
