Take a campus walk with Mayor Karl Dean Dec. 6

The two-mile walk Dec. 6 will start and end at 2007 Terrace Place.

Vanderbilt is stepping up to Nashville Mayor Karl Dean’s Challenge to Walk 100 Miles.

From noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, Mayor Dean will be joined by Vice Chancellor for Public Affairs Beth Fortune, Vice Chancellor for Administration Jerry Fife and Metro Councilmember Burkley Allen for a two-mile walk beginning and ending on Terrace Place. Complete the entire walk, or feel free to join in anywhere along the route.

Free water and fresh fruit will be available to all participants at the end of the event, and food trucks have been invited to attend from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for those wanting to purchase additional food or beverages.

Free parking will be available in the Terrace Place Garage for all Vanderbilt faculty and staff and visitors.
