    Student mental health support gets new name: Meet Counseling and Psychiatric Services

    One in five Vanderbilt students have consistently turned to the University Counseling Center for mental health care and support. Beginning Sept. 1, that resource is getting a new name—Counseling and Psychiatric Services—to better reflect the full range of mental health services readily available to students. By including psychiatric services in the name, CAPS staff hope to make it clearer that the center provides comprehensive and interdisciplinary support.
